fielding techniques and equipment for all ages

Fielding techniques are often overlooked in baseball today, with the game's emphasis currently focused on hitting and pitching. Its importance on the outcome of games, however, is vital.

1The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Good techniques include careful positioning and execution of routine plays, good fielding communication, taking proper routes to the baseball, correct throwing actions, knowing where to throw the ball, precise footwork around the bags, and much more.

Learning proper techniques will most definitely give you the upper hand over your opponent.

Poor techniques can lead to misplayed baseballs, lackadaisical play, and even injuries, giving your opponents opportunities that they otherwise wouldn't have had. You can, however, avoid these pitfalls.

1Moving to increase your focus and intensity.

If you and your teammates familiarize, practice, and become good at utilizing proper techniques, you will find everyone on your team moving on every play.

Having this increased focus and intensity, your team's ability to be correctly positioned, particularly when the team needs them most to come through with an important play, will improve dramatically.

1Study and understand the baseball environment
around you.

Concentrate on the baseball. Learn how it bounces. Take time to recognize how you should react to its every move. Concentrate on the defensive side of the game. Learn how the offensive team will attempt to exploit your team's defensive weaknesses. Take time to recognize how you should counteract their aggressions.

Concentrate on your teammates. Learn how you can help and guide them on the baseball diamond. Recognize that your actions can make the difference in the ballgame.

Concentrate on the techniques of baseball. Sound techniques won't let you down.
