batting techniques and equipment for all ages

Proper batting techniques can take months to learn, and years to master.

Part of the problem is often a direct result of inadequate coaching. Not that it is the coach's fault. Many are out there giving their time and knowledge doing the best they can with what they have.

But, not many of us have the opportunity to learn from someone who has performed on the big stage ... to learn from someone who has been taught proper batting techniques!

Our goal at Sport-Techniques.com is to provide you with correct hitting instructions right from the start -- minizimizing the learning process and enabling you to master your hitting technique in a short period of time.

Hitting is not easy.

Hitting a baseball is arguably one of the most difficult tasks in all of sports.

Think about it. The pitcher stands only 60 feet 6 inches away and falls towards you making that distance closer to 55 feet by the time he releases a 3 inch diameter sphere. That sphere can then be traveling at speeds approaching 100 miles per hour.

You stand there in the batters box having to decide within three-tenths of a second whether you believe the pitch is within a strike zone measuring seventeen inches in width and from your knees to somewhere approaching your shoulders in height -- which, of course, is subject to interpretation by an umpire. You then have almost one-tenth of a second to complete your swing all while the ball moves in unimaginable paths!

If that wasn't tough enough, you must do all this AND try to hit the ball with a maximum 2-3/4 inch cylinder into fair territory where nine players wait to catch your hit!

Not easy ... not easy at all.

But, we're not here to discourage you. We're here to help you succeed! With the proper techniques and practice, practice, practice, this task can be made easier. You can become a good hitter!
